From the importer: I’m not sure why I didn’t bring in this perfect everyday white when I first started importing the Montepulciano; I certainly should have. The wine is pale straw in color, with aromas of almond, citrus and a hint of herbs. It is bone dry and finishes with a very attractive hint of apple-skin. This is a knockout everyday bottle of white wine, flavorful enough to stand up to a range of dishes but bright enough to make a good dry aperitif.

This Montepulciano has deep, rich plummy fruit tannins that are firm but soft. It pairs well with grilled and roast lamb; pasta with meatballs and hearty meat sauces; also delicious with aged pecorino cheeses.

94 Points! Spicy from the first tilt of the glass, the 2022 Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo is impossible to ignore as a pleasant smoky reduction blows off to reveal dried sage, wild strawberries, stone dust and violet pastille. This is pleasantly ripe in style, with a solid core of salty minerals to balance. Crisp wild berry fruits flow across the palate with ease. Blood orange notes combine with a tactile concentration as the 2022 tapers off with sweet tannins that frame the experience nicely. Without a doubt, the 2022 is one of the top Cerasuolos of the year, displaying remarkable complexity and refinement. - Eric Guido, Vinous Media

95+ Points! The 2022 Trebbiano d’Abruzzo bursts from the glass with a wave of smokey crushed stones, fennel, sage and incense. This is soothingly round and supple with a balanced inner sweetness contrasted by depths of mineral-intense orchard fruits. The 2022 takes on a nearly salty sensation, displaying hints of sesame seed and clove while finishing gently tannic and long. A tart, citrusy concentration puckers the cheeks. 94 Points! The 2021 Trebbiano d'Abruzzo is unique, with a beguiling blend of ground ginger, young peach and grapefruit. It opens with a lovely inner sweetness, silky and supple, with ripe yellow pit fruits underscored by saline minerals as candied citrus traces resonate throughout. This finishes remarkably fresh yet staining and long, echoing with nectarine and sour green apple. This is absolutely fantastic, showing a warm vintage character yet with incredible balance.
