The success of “Myoka Rangyoku” inspired us to start another quest.
These are the various fine qualities superior sake displays in the process of maturing slowly for more than ten years: when still young, a gorgeous aroma, during maturity, a powerful and round body, followed by a clear and serene aftertaste that lingers for a long time. We wanted to bring those elements, which normally are not simultaneously present, together in one bottle of sake.

The nose on this “once in a lifetime” masterpiece is an amazing collection of rose petals, cream, raisins, bananas, and cotton candy aromas. This sake wasn’t built; it evolved into a superb Daiginjo standing on the shoulders of both the Kimoto and Shizuku style of sake brewing. Throw in 4 years of aging, and you get a complexity not found in most sake. Fruit-forward, full-bodied, rich, and complex, it drinks you more than you drink it. Look for ripe persimmon, raisin, marshmallow, nougat, and woody elements that grow in a wine glass, and feel more aged as the fluid warms. "Heavenly Flower" drinks like rich liquid umami, especially in a white wine glass. This is not your dainty and elegant Daiginjo sake. It is a brew that is in the upper stratosphere of the sake-drinking world. Not to be missed in your lifetime!

This Junmai sake from Banshu Ikkon is a beautifully lean structured sake, light bodied and linear, with the distinctive bright and spicy finish unique to brewmaster Yuichi Tsubosaka. While Kita Nishiki is a rice developed locally in Hyogo it is more characteristic of rice grown in the far north, with a firm grain that dissolves more slowly, producing sake of tight structure and clean flavors as opposed to the luscious rice types that made the area famous. It does retain a brightness of character unique to the region, and typical of all Banshu Ikkon sake.
