Tasting Notes,
Brooding and intriguing on the nose with orange marmalade and spicy oak. Expansive palate with an array of baking spices, caramel and honey. Gorgeous from start to end.

A blend of whiskeys from Kentucky and Tennessee. Nuttiness pairs with jammy fruit on the nose in the form of peanut butter and jelly sandwich, blueberry pancake, and strawberry milkshake. The palate adds baking spice to the mix, with berries in syrup and cinnamon babka notes. Baking spice lingers on a satisfactory finish. Bottled at full barrel-strength, the Boss Hog represents our purest, most powerful, and most primordial expression of the world’s finest rye. Dedicated to Mortimer WhistlePig, our deceased Kune Kune pig mascot and namesake. Mortimer’s physical monument will be the “Spirit of Mortimer”, a flying pig chiseled by hand by Danforth Pewter Works right down the road from us in Vermont.
