93 Points! The 2021 expresses the conditions of the vintage with an overall density but remains balanced and agile. In-house enologist, Giuseppe Rigoli explains that a small portion of the grapes were harvested very early for freshness and the remainder brought in by the end of September. He also carried out a slightly shorter maceration of 15 days (compared to 20 in 2020). The wine emerges with hints of vanilla then progresses to mint and violet. Sandy-textured tannins hem in concentrated red berries and grip assertively on the finish. The pristine quality of the fruit shines through and saline nuances persist. - Decanter Magazine

95 Points! This lively red is round in profile, exhibiting red fruit flavors of cherry, raspberry and pomegranate. Iron and licorice notes chime in as this gives way to dense, lightly chewy tannins on the finish. Cabernet Franc. Best from 2026 through 2040. - Wine Spectator

Made with Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, the Tenuta San Guido 2022 Guidalberto gives you a good taste of the same DNA that brings us one of Italy's greatest wines, Sassicaia, but it's offered in a more immediate style here (thanks to the addition of the Merlot). This warm vintage opens to medium-dark concentration and very plump aromas that take you immediately to blackberry and blackcurrant sitting out in the sun at your local farmers market. The wine shows a soft and gentle side with a pretty level of elegance transmitted through the fruit freshness and the light oak spice that is discernible here but delivered with grace. - Monica Larner, robertparker.com

94 Points! Lots of mint with sage and fresh rosemary to the currant and orange character on the nose, as well as some ripe raspberries. The palate is very refined with creamy and crunchy tannins that run the length of the wine. It shows a crunchy and energetic personality. 96 Points! This vintage shows a remarkable aromatic profile of Mediterranean herbs, cassis, black cherries, leather and earth with a kind of gamey depth. 93 Points! The 2023 Le Difese includes Sangiovese from Montosoli and Rufina in Chianti Classico in the blend. The nose is fresh and pure, with a juicy, floral perfume of fresh red berries, violets, and wet stone. It’s fresh and inviting on the palate, with the very pretty elegance that the Sangiovese brings with its more defined structure and refreshing feel. 92 Points! The 2022 Le Difese is plump, juicy and expressive, all of which make it a fine choice for drinking now and over the next handful of years. Crushed flowers, succulent red cherry fruit, mint, spice and blood orange all race across the palate. This exuberant yet mid-weight coastal Tuscan red is a total pleasure bomb. The 2022 is an especially fine edition. It benefits from a warm year - which can be a positive for entry-level wines - earlier bottling and selection. Le Difese 2022 is a blend of 55% Sangiovese and 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, the former brought in from long-standing partners based in Chianti and Chianti Rufina – ‘In Bolgheri it's not easy to find Sangiovese,’ third-generation Priscilla Incisa della Rocchetta explained. 2022 saw slightly lower production than 2021 due to a warm spring and a rainy autumn. Macerations were shorter than previous years, and the wine retains the same blend as last year as part of the estate's continuing plans to make Le Difese approachable almost immediately and give it its own Tuscan identity. Bright red and purple scents with a creamy backdrop and herbal touches lead to a soft and textured palate full of fresh, tangy cherry and dark hedgerow berries. Ripe, precise and sapid with a long, breezy, balsamic finish, Le Difese should be enjoyed over the next decade. - Decanter Magazine

95 Points! From vineyards planted in 2008, the Tenuta Tascante 2020 Etna Rosso Contrada Sciaranuova has a ruby shine that seems more luminous in this vintage. The bouquet is subtle, but there is noteworthy complexity here with ashy mineral, pressed violet and cassis. There is also an interesting note of bitter almond that leans directly into a tight tannic backbone. This contrada based in Randazzo sits at 730 meters in elevation and enjoys both northern and southern exposures. The wine ages in 25-hectoliter Slavonian oak casks for 12 months with a small percentage of 300-liter tonneaux as well. - Monica Larner, robertparker.com

93 Points! The 2001 Taurasi CampoRe is made in a more generous style than the normal bottling. It also spent an additional year in oak. This full-bodied, fat Aglianico is gorgeous and pure in its expression of smoke, tar, dark cherries, spices, leather and tobacco. - Antonio Galloni, Vinous

The 2016 Tertio de Montrose Saint-Estephe is aged for 12 months in 15% new barrels. During the maturing process the wine is racked every three months. The 2016 vintage as you know is a great vintage and when tasting the Tertio de Montrose, Kyle and I were amazed at just how well this wine conveys Montrose’s illustrious terroir.  A blend of 61% Merlot, 32% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc, the wine sees all the top-notch treatment the Grand Vin gets. It’s opulent and markedly textured, it shares more in common with a flamboyant, exuberant year such as 2009 or 2015 than most 2016’s. Dense purple, its loads of blackberry and blueberry fruit, truffles, silky tannins and a sumptuous mouthfeel and terrific long finish.  

100 Points! Another absolutely perfect wine in this incredible vintage, the 2020 Château Tertre Roteboeuf comes from a tiny hillside vineyard (5.6 hectares) and is 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc raised all in new Radoux barrels. This show-stopping wine has everything and reveals a dense purple hue, incredible aromatics of cassis, vanilla bean, burning embers, graphite, and smoke tobacco, full-bodied richness, flawless integration of its tannins and acidity, and a massive finish. The finest wine I've ever tasted from this address, it's not going to hit maturity for another 7-8 years and will be a 30+-year wine. Hats off to the team of François Mitjavile for another singular, sexy, absolutely off-the-charts wine. - Jeb Dunnuck

92+ Points! The 2021 Constant Variable is sweetly satisfying on the nose, blending crushed blackberries and wild blueberries with autumnal spice. It's silky in texture yet lifted in feel, with liquid violet flowers that coat the senses. Ripe red and black fruits cascade throughout. The 2023 "The Dude" is a meticulously assembled blend of fruit drawn from prestigious Napa Valley appellations: Calistoga, Rutherford, and Howell Mountain. The wine was refined for 16 months, utilizing 40% new oak to elegantly frame the fruit while allowing the terroir to shine.

Composition 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc, 2% Malbec

This Pinot Noir possesses deep aromas of wild strawberries and ripe raspberries accentuated with exotic notes of sandalwood and rose petal. Rich and luscious palate it is focused with layers of ripe red fruits, fresh forest floor and fine-grained tannins that linger through the finish.

94 Points! The 2021 Pinot Meunier, fermented and matured without new wood, is nuanced and very easy to drink. It has intense aromas of cranberry sauce, red cherries and blackberries, plus nuances of wild fennel, amaro, underbrush and floral perfume. The medium-bodied palate has precise, tea-textured tannins, seamless freshness and a long, spicy finish. "This is a climate-change superstar," notes winemaker Jason Lett. The variety "has extremely wooly buds, which protects them," he continues. "The white fuzz on its leaves reflects the sun—it's an adaptation, like plants in the desert that are often fuzzy." - Erin Brooks, robertparker.com
