Aged in 500-liter French oak barrels, it opens with green apple, chamomile, white peach, herbs and a subtle vermouth note. Matured for 10 months in 26% new French oak, it has slowly unfurling aromas of red and black cherries and berries, aniseed, tobacco, tea leaves and earth. The full-bodied palate is powerfully styled with concentrated, earth-laced flavors and muscular, grainy tannins. The red 2023 Nossa Calcário Baga was produced with grapes from three plots of old vines (100 to 140 years old!) on Jurassic limestone soils with clay and marl only 15 kilometers from the ocean. The partly destemmed grapes fermented in open oak lagares with some pigéage, and the wine matured in 500- and 600-liter oak barrels and a 1,500-liter oak vat. It comes in at 12.5% alcohol and 5.52 grams of acidity. It reveals notes of ripe berries, decayed leaves and some spices, with an earthy touch that gives it complexity and a rustic twist. 80% Bical, 20% Arinto. Bical is harvested in the beginning of September, the Arinto on the other hand, matures later and is harvested 2-3 weeks later. Vinification happens separately. The wine matures on the lees without batonnage. The wines stabilize naturally during the cold winter. The final blend is made in early springtime when the wine is stable.

From the winery: 100% Pinot Gris. More magic from Box Grove Vineyard. Planted on the sandier part of the vineyard where most of the whites are planted.

The vineyard is located in the Nagambie Lakes wine region, centred around the lake and billabongs of the Goulburn River. A whole lotta of love is being put into this place, with sustainability being the central value.

Box Grove is situated on the lands of the Taungurung people of the Kulin Nation, who are the traditional owners and custodians of the land.

Monthelie "Vieilles Vignes" is drawn from three parcels amounting to 1 hectare of vines planted in 1976. Among Garaudet's holdings is a plot in Les Toisières. This lieu-dit abuts Meursault Premier Cru Les Caillerets. The soils are of clay-limestone loam composition over a limestone substrate. 12 months aging in 30% new oak.

Produced from 35+ year old vines, this wine is normally vinified dry.

From a single vineyard parcel on one of the highest points in the appellation. The soils here are comprised of silex (flint) and a small amount of clay over limestone bedrock. Always vinified dry, this is one of the purest expressions of Montlouis that one can find. Plenty of minerals, pear and some quince in the nose, the acidity is crisp and intense giving way to a full wine that opens up over the palate leaving more quince and river rock sensations.

100 Points! An incredibly wide aromatic spectrum with all the stone and citrus fruits plus a slew of white flowers is married to an overwhelming freshness and vitality that sweep you away.
