We can tell you that the grapes for the Westerly Cabernet Sauvignon Happy Canyon Fletchers Reserve 2021 came from Happy Canyon and were crafted under the guidance of a top-flight, renowned winemaker. The nose has that opulent aroma of dark red fruits, cocoa, vanilla, and spice. The palate is plush and creamy offering that same profile of black cherry and cassis, spice, dark chocolate, vanilla, and maybe a hint of clove. This is deep, dark, plush Cabernet that has all the richness Cabernet fans crave and the kind of luxurious palate feel that elevates the experience. This wine showcases Happy Canyon at its best in the outstanding 2021 vintage, sexy stuff!

His most expressive Cab yet. There have been bigger Westerlys but I don't believe there has been better. Plush mouthfeel here, excellent work on those firm Happy Canyon tannins, this stuff just tastes expensive...but it isn't...and the price this year is even lower!

91 Points! The 2021 Chardonnay Willamette Valley has savory scents of honey, nuts, toasted meringue and spice accenting a core of peach and quince paste. The light-bodied palate offers understated fruit and a soft, satiny texture, and its focused acidity gives the finish an ethereal feel. 93 Points! I was able to taste three 2021s from Woodward Canyon. The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Artist Series checks in as 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Petit Verdot, 5% Merlot, and 1% Cabernet Franc and was brought up in 30% new French and Hungarian oak. It's a perfumed, exotic, pretty red that has both red and blue fruits as well as some underlying sappy flowers, truffle, and leafy herb-like aromas and flavors. It's beautifully balanced, has fine tannins, and a pure, layered, seamless profile that will evolve gracefully over the coming 15 years. - Jeb Dunnuck

94 Points! The 2021 Pinot Noir San Saba Vineyard is striking.  Bright, aromatic and full of punch, the 2021 delivers tons of savory flavor intensity in its deceptively mid-weight frame. From the importer: An assemblage of the estate’s finest parcels, the single Côte-Rôtie cuvée produced at the Gérard domaine is sourced principally from the Mollard lieu-dit (65%) with the balance a mix of Font-Jean, Viallière, and La Landonne. At vinification, a significant portion is left whole clusters. This is a finer expression of the appellation than many of its counterparts along the slope, with a purity of fruit and finesse to the tannins. Although its profile is marked by a regal elegance that makes this wine seductively drinkable in its youth, older examples offer strong testimony that the Côte-Rôtie from Domaine Gérard has the capacity to provide a pure and tenacious expression of this noble terroir for decades in the bottle.

91 Points! A juicy, stylish red, with plum, mocha and graphite well-melded on a rich, harmonious palate. Singed herb and sandalwood smoke notes chime in, with a hint of chewiness at the end. Fresh, minerally and focused. Drink now through 2030. - Wine Spectator

The grapes for this delicious Zweigelt are sustainably farmed from vineyards located in the dry, hot region Seewinkel region of Neusiedlersee. The soils are also quite dry and gritty full of minerals which are imparted to this refined wine made by Pepi Umathum and Domaine Andau working in tandem at their green, solar and wind powered winery. An incredibly deep red color with a nose of fresh plums and dark berries and hints of black pepper. Lovely weight balanced by acidity and a long juicy finish.

A lighter-handed, less tannic spin on this relative of Zinfandel. Brambly, juicy, yet easy-drinking, a quaffer that actually is better with 30 minutes in the fridge...just like being on the island....
