97 Points! Looking at the Grand Vin 2022 Château Laroque, it checks in as 98% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc raised in 60% new oak with a mix in larger formats, as well as a portion in foudre. Gorgeous black raspberries, spring flowers, graphite, and truffly mineral and crushed stone-like nuances all shine in this stunningly complex, medium to full-bodied effort. With ripe, polished tannins, perfectly integrated acidity, and ultra-fine tannins, it's going to drink well for at least 30 years. The alcohol here is a healthy 14.7 with a pH of 3.4. This is an absolutely gorgeous wine! Buy a case for your cellar. You can thank me later. - Jeb Dunnuck
97 Points! Superb quality delivering grip and lift, with the fleshy black fruits underpinned by steel, crushed slate and softer crayon. Well defined black fruits, mouthwatering, vivid, energetic, one to look out for. 3.55ph reductive ageing on fine lees, 1st racking after 6 months, harvest September 14 to 30, Vineyard located on the limestone plateau and slopes at one of highest points of St Emilion in St Christophe des Bardes, owned by the Beaumartin family, David Suire director. - Jane Anson
97 Points! A pure and focussed nose full of ripe but cool black fruit with soft hints of violets and vanilla. This delighted during Primeurs and it's turned out excellently in bottle. Juicy, clean and crystalline with a perfect balance of fruit, tannins and acidity with plenty of underling power but delivered so elegantly. Great harmony and drinkability on offer. Ends salty with graphite and slate really putting the limestone terroir into the glass. Delicious. Another excellent bottle from this rising start estate under the helm of David Suire. - Georgina Hindle, Decanter Magazine
95 Points! The 2022 Laroque has turned out very well indeed in bottle, offering up aromas of cassis, plums, pencil shavings and violets, followed by a medium to full-bodied, suave and vibrant palate that's pure, concentrated and penetrating. Harmonious and integrated, this limestone terroir's identity really shines through. - William Kelley, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
95 Points! The 2022 Laroque is even better from bottle than it was en primeur. Dark, rich and enveloping, the 2022 is seriously impressive. Black cherry, leather, licorice, dried herbs and mocha race across the palate. The possesses superb depth and nuance while capturing all of the richness of the year. Laroque is very clearly one of the sleepers of the year. Superb. - Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media

“Another great success and value pick for Laroque. Really aromatically complex. Ripe and pristine black bramble berries on the nose, perfumed and nicely fragrant. Lovely aromatic purity. Smooth and so silky, smooth, svelte as Laroque does so well. Mouthwatering with bright acidity but so juicy, strawberry and cherry with a hint of cranberry and soft accents of dried herbs liquorice and wet stones. Grippy but so charming even at this point. Tension with freshness, perfectly polished and friendly.”94–96 Points – Jeb Dunnuck
“Tasted twice with consistent results, the 2025 Château Laroque is a gorgeous wine in the making based on 99% Merlot and 1% Cabernet Franc. Cassis and black raspberry fruits, graphite, spring flowers, and violet nuances all shine on the nose, and it's medium-bodied on the palate, with a pure, graceful mouthfeel, ripe tannins, and a great finish. It shows the more focused, structured style of the vintage, yet the tannins are remarkably polished. A brilliant effort that will offer early accessibility yet evolve gracefully.”93-95 Points – Antonio Galloni, Vinous
“The 2025 Laroque is a gorgeous, super-elegant wine. Vibrant, salivating acids and beams of tannin are the first signs we are on the clay and limestone plateau in Saint-Émilion's Saint-Christophe-des-Bardes sector. Blood orange, mint, chalk and white pepper bleed into a core of red-toned fruit. Medium in body, with striking energy and tension, Laroque is positively stellar in 2025. This is another superb showing from the team led by Technical Director David Suire. Tasted two times.”95–97 Points – Lisa Perrotti-Brown, The Wine Independent
“Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2025 Laroque slowly unfurls with fragrant notes of juicy blueberries, black raspberries, and fresh black plums, followed by nuances of violets, cedar chest, and chalk dust. The medium-bodied palate is bright and shimmery with energetic black and blue fruit and very fine-grained tannins, delivering a crisp line and a very long, mineral-laced finish.”94 Points – Jane Anson, Inside Bordeaux
“Slate and pumice stone, enjoyable slow build of cassis bud, pomegranate, wet stones, thoroughly enjoyable with plenty of expansion and grip, and estate signature.” -
Lassegue Saint Emilion 2020
$79.98HURRY, ONLY 5 LEFT!QuickviewDEC9595 Points! Wide, powdery, fine but firm tannins; a lovely density to this. Concentrated and intense, very straight and streamlined. Finessed and focused. Clearly powerful, the energy is apparent, but all the elements are kept quite tight and controlled, so you're not getting so much expansion or nuance necessarily. Still, well worked with clarity to the fruit and tannins. Wet stone, liquorice, toasted caramel all giving elements of wood but integrated and supportive. Feels like a sleeping giant, will be good in time, sleek and stylish. - Georgina Hindle, Decanter Magazine

Le Petit Cheval Blanc Bordeaux Blanc 2019
$119.98HURRY, ONLY 0 LEFT!QuickviewJD93JA94LPB95VM95Out of stock95 Points! The 2019 Blanc is a powerful deep wine. Low yields in the field resulted in a Blanc of unusual concentration and almost phenolic intensity. Citrus confit, marzipan, chamomile, dried herbs and a touch of new oak flesh out. The Blanc emerges from the former La Tour du Moulin Figeac estate, which is just across the road from Cheval Blanc property. It spent 22-23 months in large format oak, both of which are outside the norm in Bordeaux. , Vinous Media
95 Points! A blend of 80% Sauvignon Blanc and 20% Semillon, the 2019 Le Petit Cheval Blanc is the 10th vintage of this wine. The first vintage of Le Petit Cheval Blanc to be launched was the 2014, but they have been making it since 2009. The wine is aged on full lees for 22 months in new oak foudres. It sashays out with flamboyant notes of apricots, green guava, and lime cordial, with hints of lemongrass, wet slate, and sea spray. Medium-bodied, the palate is refreshing and elegantly styled with a quiet intensity and long minerally finish. - Lisa Perrotti-Brown, The Wine Independent

94 Points! Darkly scented nose, liquorice, dark chocolate and black bramble fruits, smells rich, intense and fragrant. Smooth and supple, clean, clear and crisp, a nice purity to this with clear minerality and bite. A touch lean, some austerity here though balanced by juiciness and corresponding acidity, nicely bright but serious at the same time given the dark fruits and spiced edges. Leeuwin Estate Art Series Chardonnay Margaret River 2021
$108.98QuickviewWS96DEC98JH97JS97VM98RP9798 Points! 2021 was marginally cooler for whites, and while this is young, its power is irrepressible yet it also shows restraint and harmony. A fine gauze of delicate florals and spice tucked behind structure, power and tension. Tuberose, green peppercorn, pear skin, preserved lemon, green cardamon and peach blossom. The palate offers jewelled hues of peach pit; a little flint, lots of wet stone minerality and crushed white sage dance with a very fine thread of salinity and lacy acidity. This takes time to unravel and unfurl, but once it does, it's got everything. The structure is superb and the 100% new oak meticulosity managed. This wine bears the fruits of the diligent labor in the vineyards and is one of the shining lights in the region this year. There are notes of raspberry and nori, moss and petrichor, blood and forest floor. This is a lighter style of Cabernet—and a lovely one at that. - Erin Larkin, robertparker.com

It's not often the case that wines with this much expectation riding on them live up to the hype, but this one did.
