With 50% coming from 2020 vintage and the rest from the Solera begun in 2013, the NV Champagne Blanc De Blancs Solera Brut displays a bright yellow hue and is very well-detailed in its aromatics of lemon curd, brioche, and ripe pear. Medium-bodied and graceful, it delicately rounds out the palate with a supple texture and a delicate mousse, as well as fresh acidity. 93 Points! The NV Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Terroirs is an excellent introduction to the estate’s Chardonnays. Disgorged in August 2024 with three grams per liter dosage, it’s composed of 20% from the 2021 vintage (vinified in tank), 50% from 2020 and 30% from 2019, with half of the reserve wines aged on the lees in approximately 30-year-old demi-muids. Heavily based on Oger (around 40% of the blend), with the remainder coming from Oiry, Cramant and Avize, it’s already expressive, offering aromas of honeysuckle, nectarine, bread and fresh hazelnut. Domaine Albert Joly, Puligny Montrachet Vieilles Vignes. This wine is made annually from a blend of older parcels located on the left side of the Rue de Poiseul on the way up towards Saint Aubin. The grapes are hand-picked and gently pressed, the wines are spontaneously fermented on small Burgundy pieces followed by 12 months of maturation, of the house's bottlings this is the most classic, steely Chardonnay with dense stone fruit, mineral notes and a streak of cask spices.

From Armand: During history, the village of Meursault has never wanted to claim one or more grands crus. It's a pity because the agronomic potential of its 1er crus has nothing to envy to the prestige of the grands crus of the hill of Montrachet or Corton. If Meursault were to have a grand cru, it would undoubtedly be Les Perrières. It is a powerful, intense wine, a rich and imposing terroir. Located mid-slope like all the best wines in Burgundy, it benefits from the best agronomic conditions.

92 Points! The 2022 Chardonnay Watson Ranch comes from vines planted in calcareous clay over limestone in 1993 in southern Napa County. Matured for 10 months in used French oak, it has savory scents of cheese rind, button mushrooms, beeswax, jasmine and white orchard fruit. The light-bodied palate is understated and perfumed. Exciting new Oregon Chardonnay project from soil wizard Pedro Parra and Meursault master Jean-Marc Roulot! Le Basalt hails from a small vineyard nestled in the Eola-Amity Hills, where vines root themselves in a thin layer of silty red clay over fractured basalt. Just 35 centimeters of topsoil give way to nearly pure, ancient volcanic rock — dense, mineral rich, and deeply broken — allowing roots to delve far into the earth in search of water and nourishment. The result is a wine shaped by tension, depth, and the raw energy of stone.
