Moric Burgenland Hausmarke Red S22
93 Points! Absurdly concentrated for an entry-level wine. Deep blueberry and black-cherry fruit fills out the compact and structured medium-bodied palate. Generous fine tannins and notes of licorice and baking-spice aromas. Long, powdery and fresh finish. This is a unique solera-type blend of several vintages from 2022 to 2012. Blaufrankisch plus pinot noir, merlot and zweigelt. Drink or hold. - JamesSuckling.com
Hausmarke Rot is a blend of Blaufrankisch, Rotburger and Blauburgunder (Pinot Noir). It comes across as Blaufrankisch with a more playful side, fresh and agile, full of notes of currant and juicy red cherry. There is a backbone of earth and spice that does not dominate but merely supports this easy to drink introduction to the finessed and wonderful wines of Roland Velich. This cuvee consists of primarily 2020 with multiple vintages in the mix back to 2012.
