El Dorado LBI/DHE High Ester Blend Rum

This rum is made by Demerara Distillers Limited in Guyana, using a blend of two rare marques: Diamond High Ester (DHE) and La Bonne Intention (LBI). It is aged about 11 years in ex-bourbon casks and retains a high ester profile for intense aroma and flavor, bottled at cask strength (roughly 57 % ABV).

Tasting Note:
On the nose it delivers bright orange peel, rich vanilla, and warm spices like cinnamon and clove, underlaid by dark chocolate and slightly burnt caramel. The palate is bold and full with honey, caramel, dried figs, and nutmeg, balanced by confectionary sweetness and a faint minerality that speaks to its heritage. The finish is long, dry-leaning, leathery and spicy with lingering oak and smoky tones.
