Domaine de Baronarques Limoux 2010
92 Points! Aromas of ripe fruit with fresh herbs and green walnuts that follow through to a full body, round and velvety tannins and decadent fruit. Delicious finish. A fascinating wine now that has evolved beautifully. Drink now. - jamesSuckling.com
91 Points! Looking at the 2010 Limoux, it’s a similar blend to the ’12 (51% Merlot, 23% Cabernet Franc, 6% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Syrah and 6% Malbec) and saw the same 12 months in 25% new French oak. Reminding me of a Washing State Bordeaux blend, this beauty gives up lots of sweet blackberry and black currant-like fruit intermixed with licorice, pencil shavings, toasted bread and spice. This all gives way to medium to full-bodied, ripe, nicely textured red that has a stacked mid-palate, high quality tannin and a great finish. It will have 10-12 years or more of longevity. - Jeb Dunnuck, robertparker.com
